As a Food Service Supervisor I at IGT, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality dining experience for employees and guests at IGT Reno’s Triple Play Café. Overseeing daily operations, you will ensure food is prepared to the highest standards, service runs smoothly, and the kitchen operates efficiently. This role combines hands-on leadership in food preparation and service with a focus on consistency and excellence. Beyond the kitchen, you will foster a positive team culture, support staff development, and manage vendor relationships to keep operations running seamlessly. With responsibilities spanning inventory management, purchasing, and customer satisfaction, this position is essential to maintaining an efficient and welcoming café.
 

Supervisory Responsibilities
 

Oversee the daily operations of IGT Reno's Triple Play Café, ensuring efficient service, high-quality food preparation, and a well-organized kitchen. Supervise two or more employees, ensuring all daily tasks are completed efficiently. Manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships while monitoring product costs. Oversee budgeting to maintain financial efficiency and cost control. Oversee internal billing and maintain accurate financial tracking for café operations. Ensure accurate cash handling, sales logs, and financial record-keeping. Train and guide the team through daily menu execution, recipe preparation, and best practices in food safety and sanitation. Foster a team-oriented culture by keeping employees informed and engaged in daily operations. Address and resolve employee and customer concerns, escalating issues to Management when necessary. Ensure a safe and friendly work environment, reinforcing company policies and health standards. Oversee employee timecards, ensuring proper tracking and payroll accuracy. Keep the team engaged through ongoing e-learning, training programs, and compliance updates. Participate in all team meetings and one-on-one discussions to maintain alignment and clear communication.
 

Café Operations Responsibilities
 

Lead execution of breakfast, lunch, and baking, ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation. Delegate daily tasks effectively to maintain an organized and efficient workflow. Monitor ingredient stock levels and communicate needs to Management. Maintain and oversee kitchen equipment, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance with Facilities and Management. Step in as needed during peak service times, assisting on the serving line to maintain fast, courteous service. Plan, oversee, and execute catering operations, ensuring all events meet quality, service, and customer expectations. Support after-hours events as required for company functions. Qualifications 2 years of culinary experience in food preparation, menu execution, and kitchen safety. 2 years of management experience overseeing food service operations and staff. Proficient computer skills for inventory tracking, communication, and POS systems. At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $50,482/yr - $115,000/yr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
