Supervisor, Gateway Test & Automation

The successful candidate will be leading a distributed team of testers and automation developers, tasked with delivering highest quality Gateway Software product releases in Connectivity Platform organization.

The minimum requirements we seek: 

Bachelor’s degree in computer Science, engineering, or a related field (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained.  If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required). 8+ year experience in software testing and quality assurance. 4+ year hands on development experience using a high-level programming language. 2+ year experience in Python development. Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and test infrastructure. Experience in maintaining automated execution of large number of tests and triaging of test results.

Our preferred requirements:

Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 2+ year experience in people and project leadership. 2+ years of automotive embedded software testing experience. Experience with AutoSAR, QNX, and embedded Linux operation systems. Experience with AI/ML methodologies to improve testing efficiency. Experience with cloud platforms and data analytics & visualization.

The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

Provide technical and operational guidance to the team to ensure thorough, accurate, and timely validation of software features. Collaborate with ECU development team to understand test requirements, feature functionality and design approaches. Oversee the development of feature test plans and test execution to ensure appropriate test coverage. Guide the design and implementation of automation solution to support the testing effort. Actively participate in code reviews and approvals on design decisions.  Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability. Track KPI’s and metrics for measuring testing effectiveness and efficiency. Manage deliverable and task assignments based on test priorities and lead scrums for sprint achievements.
