Job Description
Supervises and coordinates the daily operations and staff of the athletic training services including the monitoring/administering of patient evaluations and quality of care in accordance with the written and signed orders of a physician or other state authorized practitioner.
Job Responsibility
Promotes Health, Wellness & Fitness department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members. Leads the activities of assigned Health, Wellness & Fitness team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives. Prioritizes schedules, assigns and monitors work to optimize operational service. Analyzes, recommends, implements and monitors approved work-flow changes. Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines and evaluates the performance of staff; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner. Participates in the development and implementation of pertinent policies and procedures. Participates in the development of the annual operating budget. Supervises quality assurance activities and maintains related documentation. Ensures the operation and maintenance of equipment. Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification
Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Current License to practice as an Athletic Trainer in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed. 4-6 years of technical experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.
