MAJOR FUNCTION: 

This position is responsible for directing and providing supervision for the clinical team in the inpatient CCIS/CAMHU units in accordance with professional standards and requirements of licensing and accrediting bodies.  Also responsible for developing & implementing psychosocial activities; managing schedules/vacations of clinical staff in department; and assisting in the evaluation and oversight of clinical staff in department.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

Master’s degree in social work or counseling related field required.   A minimum of five years in social work or related field required. Previous clinical management experience preferred. A minimum of 5 years inpatient child mental health experience required. 

Certification/Licensure: 

Current New Jersey licensure and clinical certification. LCSW, LPC, LMFT required. CCS preferred or must be obtained within two years.

Knowledge & Skills:

Demonstrates working knowledge of DSM IV manual, community resources, discharge planning activities, basic leadership skills, and decision-making ability. Inspira inpatient mental health preferred.  Knowledge of children system of care required.        Physical Requirements:
