**Job Description** **General Purpose:** Supervise and coordinate technical and administrative functions of the laboratory. Ensure all analyses are conducted in accordance with approved certified methods and procedures. **Job Duties and Responsibilities:** + Maintain lab and employee certification + Train employees on proper procedures and testing techniques + Report test results in a timely and accurate manner + Cooperate and work with field representatives, members, customers and regulatory agencies + Maintain Foss testing equipment + Maintain adequate inventory of consumable supplies and spare parts + The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned. **Requirements** **Minimum Requirements:** **_Education and Experience_** + BS degree in Food or Dairy Science, Biology, Chemistry, or Microbiology or equivalent dairy industry experience + Team leadership experience or demonstrated leadership attributes + Supervisory experience preferred + Certification and/or License – as required by TDA and FDA and other governmental agencies **_Knowledge, Skills and Abilities_** + Ability to supervise lab employees + Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel to meet customers’ and members’ needs and requirements + Ability to motivate and work as part of a team + Knowledge of requirements for a certified milk lab as specified by TDA, FDA and the PMO + Basic to intermediate level proficiency with personal computers and application software including MS Excel, MS Word and Outlook + Ability to work any day of the week, including weekends and holiday, as needed + Must be able to read, write and speak English An Equal Opportunity Employer
