The Opportunity

This position works out of our Livermore, CA location in the Abbott Heart Failure, Acelis Connected Health business.  Our Heart Failure solutions are helping address some of the World’s greatest healthcare challenges.

As the Logistics & Facilities Supervisor you’ll have the chance to supports sales goals through effective supervision of warehouse and logistics areas of operation.  The supervisor is responsible for performing order filling, shipping/ receiving duties, inventory control and processing related departmental paperwork.

Principle Responsibilities

Demonstrates proficiency and accuracy in Acelis Connected Health operating systems directly related to specific job function.

Lead local facility management, including maintenance, tenant improvement, environmental health & safety, and business continuity support.

Performs accurate order entry into appropriate computer systems.

Ensures all documentation, packaging, and shipping processes are performed accurately according to customer orders/instructions.

Receives and inspects incoming shipments for discrepancies and/or damage, promptly reporting problems to the appropriate personnel.

Ensures materials and supplies are stored safely and are available within shipping area by proper description.

Ensures team is safely operating materials, handling equipment and performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and hand stacking.

Maintains accurate shipping and receiving documentation.

Maintains the shipping/receiving area in an orderly manner with a primary focus on safety.

Performs daily filing and regular file maintenance.

Answers incoming customer calls in a prompt and courteous manner.

Provides assistance to other departments as needed.

Performs other related duties as assigned by manager.

Follows all regulatory policies, procedures, privacy, and security standards in accordance with government agencies including all SOX and HIPAA requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Maintains accuracy of time and attendance data for area of responsibility.

Maintains work balancing and assignment of duties

Maintains a culture of accountability by setting clear objectives for all employees in areas of responsibility through regular follow-up, variance tracking and results.

Conducts accurate and timely assessment of subordinates through annual performance reviews.

Conducts supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable labor laws.

Identifies and assists with implementation of business processes and work flow improvements within the organization.

Lends guidance, support and subject matter expertise to management team and other departments

Assists with training on a continuing basis.

Responsible for time management, adherence to schedule and attendance

Expected to set clear objectives with regular follow-up and variance tracking

Maintains a culture of accountability and standards

Follows all regulatory policies, procedures, privacy, and security standards

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

Three to five years in distribution environment

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills

Organization/Time Management Skills

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree preferred

6+ years supervisor experience

The base pay for this position is $86,700.00 – $173,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
