The Supervisor, Material Management & Procurement will drive the replenishment of make and buy parts to acceptable inventory levels while providing leadership and training direction to direct reports. This role is crucial in sustaining processes, improving operations, and ensuring optimal inventory management without negatively impacting production.

Introduction & What you will do: 

\n\nInventory Management:\n\nDrive replenishment of make and buy parts to maintain acceptable inventory levels.\nOversee accurate real-time inventory management and ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) concepts for stock rotation are followed.\n\nLeadership and Training:\n\nProvide leadership and training direction to direct reports, ensuring process sustainment.\nReview direct reports' accuracy and urgency in their roles.\n\nProcess Improvement:\n\nMake recommendations to management regarding process improvements.\nLead Focus Factory Daily Management meetings focused on inventory management.\n\nKanban Oversight:\n\nOversee Kanban audits and reporting of Kanban countermeasures.\nAct as the point of escalation for “point of use” material shortages.\n\nDelivery Tracking:\n\nTrack OTD (On-Time Delivery) of consignment inventory receipts.\nOversee escalations to receiving teams and material handling teams for urgent part receipts.\n\nCommunication and Collaboration:\n\nInterface and communicate effectively with the production team to align on material needs.\nCollaborate with the Planner/Buyer team to ensure seamless material flow and procurement.\n\nCorrective Actions:\n\nIssue corrective actions as necessary to address inventory discrepancies or process inefficiencies.\n\nBusiness Partnership:\n\nPartner with the business to understand new product releases and seasonal trends to maintain inventory levels that support revenue and working capital goals.\n\nAdaptability and Decision-Making:\n\nHandle fast-paced working environments with changing production demands and flex working hours as needed.\nTake responsibility and make decisions that impact inventory management and procurement processes.\n\n

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

\n

Skill Sets:

\n\nStrong leadership skills with the ability to coach and train others.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nProficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access).\nUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and methods.\nAbility to problem-solve using Kanban systems and address abnormalities effectively.\n\n

Education:

\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field (preferred).\n\n

Experience:

\n\n2 years of materials warehouse experience in a Pull Replenishment environment is required.\n\n

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

\n\nA team player mentality with strong negotiation skills.\nSelf-motivated with a contributor outlook and a high achiever mentality.\nTechnically capable of quickly grasping new concepts.\n
