Maintain accurate, status of all pending orders, WIP, finished goods and raw material inventories. Analyze processes and make recommendations to insure maximum shop floor efficiency. Purchase and manage inventory levels for bulks, packaging, and other raw materials. Supervises a group of Scheduling & Materials Management Specialists in multiple locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - TOP 3 ACTIONS FOR POSITIONAdditional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
1. Production Planning (40%):
Plan daily, weekly and monthly production operations schedules and forecasts integrating customer requirements, material availability and resource capacity to insure on time delivery, maximum customer satisfaction and minimize backorders.Coordinate with operational groups and work centers to communicate production schedules and track production completed.Prepare and disseminate all the necessary shop floor control paperwork such as work orders, parts lists, routings and work completion status reports. Periodically check the BOM and Routing to ensure most updated versions are being used.Promptly addressing and resolving production issues and material shortages to minimize delays in production.Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.RAW Materials, Bulks & Packaging Purchase Orders (20%):
Generate purchase orders and place purchase orders with suppliers when required.Create weekly bulk delivery schedule and coordinate with bulk suppliers to ensure on time deliveries.Promptly communicate production delays or production schedule changes to bulk suppliers to avoid material unload delays or line downtime.Work with QC techs on ensuring Purchase Orders are received on the ERP system on a timely manner to avoid Assist in coordinating inbound shipping, utilizing most cost effective preferred carriersItem Master Maintenance (10%):
Analyze customer demand and production capacity to determine the most efficient inventory levels for finished goods and WIP.Review material turnover rates, re-order points and Economic Order quantity to ensure proper levels maintained and lowest costs are achieved.Maintain stock status reports and exception reports.Establish Min-Max levels of inventory and Safety Stocks.New Production Development & Projects (10%):
Participate in New Product Development Projects teams, and other material and BOM changes with Engineering, Product Management, R&D, & Operations.Identify and implement ways to reduce costs, eliminate waste, and improve service and processes.Collaborate with IT department on utilizing and testing ERP systems of shop floor control, MRP, and planning tools.People Management (20%):

Education and Experience:
Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in the planning and control of production and manufacturing operations.Minimum of 5 (five) years of experience with JD Edwards or equivalent shop floor control; i.e. MRP, MPS, etc.Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is desirable.Specialized Skills and Experience:
Skilled in the design and implementation of efficient Shipping, Receiving and Material Management activities and daily operations.Very organized in scheduling and executing responsibilities and prioritizing in a multitask environment.Effective written, oral, interpersonal and communication skills in a customer service environment.Intermediate to Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) and Strong ERP software knowledge. Team cooperation – maintain positive, cooperative attitude with all employees of LATICRETE and all customers.Able to work independently with minimal oversight.Able to management multiple assignments and projects simultaneously with shifting priorities, deadlines and focus. Must be adaptable and flexible.Travel Requirement:
Must be able to travel up to 10%.Physical Requirements:
Must pass pre-employment physical. Sitting: Must be able to sit 95% of the day.
