\nScope of Work to Be Performed:
\nThe role supervises the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement across key functions. This includes overseeing team performance, resolving escalations, managing payroll processes, and driving operational excellence.
\nDepartment & Team Management:
\n\n Supervises daily activities of the department, ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.\n Monitors team performance, ensuring employees meet established guidelines and expectations.\n Provides coaching, feedback, and performance reviews, fostering professional development and accountability.\n Addresses employee-related concerns, including performance management and conflict resolution.\n Ensures adherence to HR policies on hiring, termination, time-off management, and employee relations.\n Manages staffing levels to optimize workload distribution and operational effectiveness.\n Leads business continuity and disaster recovery planning to mitigate risks and ensure resilience.\n Directs and oversees internal and external audits, ensuring successful completion and compliance with regulatory requirements.\n\nPayroll Management & Compliance:
\n\n Supervises payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution per established standards.\n Manages FEPS Payroll for the department and oversees US & Canadian Payrolls in compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).\n Resolves payroll escalations and discrepancies, ensuring prompt issue resolution.\n Ensures payroll records align with statutory requirements and internal policies.\n Oversees payroll-related audits, ensuring compliance with reporting and filing regulations.\n\nProcess Improvement & Compliance:
\n\n Leads process enhancements to improve payroll operations, reporting efficiency, and data accuracy.\n Implements new payroll systems and technologies to drive performance improvements.\n Monitors compliance with company policies, regulatory mandates, and industry best practices.\n Identifies opportunities for workflow optimization, increasing efficiency in business processes.\n\nInterpersonal & Leadership Skills Required:
\n\n Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.\n Effective team leadership and coaching skills.\n Ability to influence and align teams with organizational goals.\n Clear and professional communication of expectations, feedback, and directives.\n Proactive approach to risk management and operational continuity.\n Strong stakeholder and client relationship management skills.\n High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.\n\nExperience & Qualifications Required:
\n\n Experience: 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in payroll or a related field.\n Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.\n\n
