Responsibilities
As a Supervisor of the Pre-Launch team at Shift4, you will embody our customer experience leadership values, providing crucial representation to our team members. Your role involves empowering our staff with the necessary knowledge, tools, and resources, and leveraging your expertise in Shift4 workflows and POS software to guide the team. Mastery of multiple Shift4 products is expected. Your responsibilities will also include mentoring staff, progressing them through the department, and maintaining a productive work environment. Balancing the needs of the individual and the company will be key to achieving successful outcomes. Close collaboration with other departments, especially Operations, for workflow development and issue escalation is essential. The role also requires sound judgment on resource allocation for issue resolution.
Manage daily Pre-Launch team operations effectively. Provide constructive feedback to enhance team member growth. Ensure a safe, productive working environment. Act as an escalation point and product expert within the Pre-Launch team. Collaborate with various departments for swift resolution of escalated issues. Coordinate interdepartmental efforts to optimize workflows and procedures. Ensure achievement of KPIs, such as POS orders, appointments, inbound chats, and phone queues. Monitor and respond to Pre-Launch -related communications including emails and Slack channels. Relay critical operations information from leadership to team, ensuring full comprehension. Oversee the management and approval of PTO requests and timesheets. Develop and uphold Pre-Launch workflow documentation, standards, and best practices. Conduct interviews with prospective candidates for department vacancies. Participate in strategic planning, policy formulation, and regular management calls. Respond to urgent situations by delegating tasks to team members according to their skill sets.
Qualifications
Proven team management experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for escalation handling. Demonstrated ability to meet KPIs and manage communication channels. Experience in administrative tasks and strategic decision-making. Excellent problem-solving and task delegation skills. Advanced knowledge of the SkyTab POS ecosystem and other Shift4 systems. Advanced knowledge of small business operations, especially bars & restaurants. Advanced user of Microsoft and Google office applications. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Possession of a college degree is advantageous but not mandatory. Significant practical work experience can substitute for a college degree. Familiarity with Microsoft and Google office applications is expected. Experience with hospitality POS devices is valuable but not mandatory.
