Job Description
The Quality Control Supervisor position supports product teams and supervises inspection and calibration functions. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of quality control functions including cross-functional support to assure availability of materials to support production activities and meet customer delivery expectations. This position reports to the Senior Supply Chain & Logistics Manager.
Responsibilities:
Oversees and coordinates quality control activities and assures conforming product is processed timely meeting delivery expectations.Actively participate in IPTs and FMEAs.Supports our customer quality audits and participate in internal quality audits.Participates in new product development and failure investigations.Use Lean Manufacturing tools to improve quality and reduce defects.Provide effective RCCA as required.Interface and communicate effectively with a variety of personnel in support of production including operators, quality engineers, inspectors, shop floor supervisors, program managers, project engineers and design engineers.Interface with suppliers and customers concerning program quality requirements.Provides leadership and direction to inspection and calibration personnelOversees and coordinates activities to balance workload and achieve SQDC performance targets.Oversee and coordinate inspection requirements in support of in-house machining.Requirements:
The successful candidate has a BS/MS in science or engineering discipline, preferably mechanical engineering or equivalent experience and 5+ years of experience in quality inspection.Interfacing with customers and suppliers concerning product quality.Working knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems.Must have production floor experience, including a solid understanding of GD&T.Must have experience in root cause/corrective and preventative action and the ability to lead project teams and customers through the analysis.Must have machined parts inspection background.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Proficient with Microsoft Office suite software.Significant experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement and strong problem-solving skills.CMM Programming & troubleshooting skills a plus5+ years of experience with PCDMIS preferredCompensation:
Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
