Come join our growing team in Laredo, TX! Due to expansion, we are currently seeking Receiving Supervisors. In our refrigerated facility that operates 24/7, you will plan and organize the daily transferring of our greenhouse grown tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and other materials delivered to the distribution center. This role reports to the Manager, Receiving.
Primary Responsibilities:
Receive all inbound loads accurately to achieve schedule attainment; escalate any product availability issues to managers or commodity planners that may cause a missed transfer departure. Ensure quality, delivery and budget objectives are met. Communicate with the Commodity Inventory Control (CIC) Team on product needed for transfers. Communicate with commodity management on inbound quality issues. Supervise and oversee the work of employees on your shift. Demonstrate strong leadership skills that will motivate and encourage teamwork. Actively train staff and monitor their performance and progress. Utilize our WMS System, NAV to load, count and verify NAV tags to verify the quality of transfers to MPL6. Communicate with absolute accuracy, all information required to create valid and proper customs documentation. Follow commodity management allocations and change orders for transfers. Follow Border Compliance accuracy and USDA inspections. Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment. Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information, as well as other Company data, including personal information. Responsible for maintaining the spirit of teamwork and productivity among fellow maintenance personnel in accordance with Mastronardi Produce
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Management, Business or related field is preferred. Will consider work experience, in lieu of a degree. A minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a shipping/receiving or related environment; food industry experience is preferred. Previous experience in a production environment is preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a lead or supervisory role. Possess leadership skills with an emphasis towards respect and professionalism as you interact with employees, customers and vendors. Assist with warehouse needs as requested by management Must be a self-starter and willing to work flexible hours; Rotational shifts, weekends, holidays, etc. Computer proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point; with adaptability to learn new systems quickly. Experience with NAV ERP a plus. Proficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Spanish as a second language is highly desired. Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Need to be creative, adaptable and able to accurately work with a sense of urgency. Ability to operate a forklift or can be trained to meet certification standards to operate a forklift. Complete a background and drug test screening. Must have manual dexterity to perform computer skills.
Working Conditions:
Environment includes an expansive refrigerated warehouse, where the temperature averages a constant 55 degrees (except office areas). The background noise approaches 70 dcbs.
