Position Overview:The Supervisor, Receiving is responsible for managing and developing individual staff members. This position assists in the planning, developing and implementing new and revised Receiving programs, policies and procedures in order to be responsive to the company's goals and competitive practices. This position is also responsible for assuring thorough audits, reports and connection with the team and the business that company's PDC programs are consistently administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm

This is an essential on-site role.

Responsibilities:Manage team & personal workload; defining, communicating & executing (as needed) deliverables & their timelines to achieve business objectives & department goalsMake decisions guided by policies, procedures, business plans and past business experiencePerform or understand the work supervised and supervise entire team as neededProvide mentorship to employees through effective training, coaching and team buildingEngage regularly & appropriately with internal partners, key customers & suppliers as well as employees to maintain strong relationships and an understanding of internal & external factors and strategies impacting the businessLeading, planning and organizing team staff meetings. Providing business and team updates. Ensure that action items are completed in a timely mannerUnderstand and develop the talent of individuals on your team; partner with appropriate areas to organize development activities as neededProvide direction and guidance to employees and manage employee relations issues appropriatelyAdvocate change by understanding the need and impact to the business. Communicate clearly with team membersMonitor and evaluate performance dashboards and reports; determine root cause of issues & propose recommendations for resolution. May lead improvement efforts.May travel - domestically as needed|requestedMay participate on cross-functional committees, task forcesReadily provide assistance to all team member requestsWork interactively and proactively with the Sr. Supervisor, Order Fulfillment - Fargo to ensure all picks are being processed as efficiently as possible as early in the day as feasible to meet the expected daily hourly goals.Observe, identify and work with all team members that need additional on the job training to ensure they are following the established SOP for Receiving. (Address/coach those that are not.)Actively participate in all scheduled meetingsReview|maintain receiving checklistsDaily review & sign off of receiving checklistsResponsible for productivity statistics review and communicationPerform regular 1-on-1’s with all direct reports.Actively participate in DigiKey’s leadership development initiative.Review daily, weekly, monthly stats with Sr. Supervisor/ManagerAssist representatives in following special receiving instructions as noted in the Purchase Order notesHave Fargo received product staged and ready for transport in appropriate pickup areas for main campus locations.Have parts run to designated location within the PDC when needed for order assistance.Work with PM’s and SSR’s to resolve receiving exceptions.Ensure all receipts and warehouse transfers have been consolidated prior to each truck departure.Assist with the order fulfillment and support operations as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

DigiKey Order Fulfillment, or other relevant work experience (Preferred)Previous team lead or supervisor experience (Preferred)Demonstrates ability to work independently and manage multiple projectsDemonstrates knowledge of appropriate softwareDemonstrates ability to analyze, understand and utilize statistical data for the department and companyDemonstrates ability to create and present power point presentations as needed (Preferred)Demonstrates ability to provide feedback in a positive mannerDemonstrates conflict management skills as neededDemonstrates ability to hold self and others accountable to delivering business resultsDemonstrates confidentialityMust be able to work in the US without sponsorship
 

Physical Requirements:Able to twist or bend and occasionally climb stairsAble to reach with hands and arms above shoulder levelMust be comfortable spending the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screenGenerally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your bodyCapable of spending 8-10 hours walking/standing on concreteCapable of lifting up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height
