**Overview**
POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Manage, direct and coordinate all warehouse activities involving re-supply order shipping and receiving. Responsible for ensuring department procedures are followed in order to maintain accuracy of the inventory within the warehouse. Provide the established reporting documents and statistics to the Sr. Manager, Export/Import Shipping & Deployment and other departments as required. Provide a working environment conducive to employee performance growth and seek to resolve any employee issues as they arise.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
+ Supervise the re-supply order shipping and receiving activities, monitor departmental procedures making sure they are followed to ensure accurate recording of inventory movement and completion of daily assignments.
+ Research and reconcile as necessary any re-supply order over/under receipts as reported by DC’s receiving shipments from LADC.
+ Every Monday run the “HL In-transit Shipment Report” and with the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator identify re-supply orders with old due dates and research as necessary in order to maintain current data accuracy.
+ Research and reconcile all inventory variances related to receiving or re-supply shipments upon notification or discovery.
+ Notify Inventory Coordinator of any reported inventory variances found in bulk storage locations for immediate inventory reconciliation.
+ Monitor and enforce company safety and housekeeping rules. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area keeping a constant watch for any safety issues. Notify DC Director, Sr. Manager, Inventory Planning or Security immediately of any unsafe working conditions or practices observed in the work area. Immediately report any and all accidents witnessed or are involved in to the DC Director or Security.
+ Hire, train, instruct, supervise, and evaluate department employees as required to maintain satisfactory warehouse operations. Monitor work performance of department employees providing corrective counseling and/or disciplinary action as necessary.
+ Monitor E-Time timekeeping system on a daily/weekly basis to ensure proper recording of time worked for direct reports. Perform any updates and/or edits to the system prior to the cutoff time established by Payroll to ensure proper payment of work performed by staff.
+ Prepare a variety of company forms and documents as required for payroll status change, job evaluations, performance appraisals, or other actions. Write and maintain procedures for all department processes.
+ Conduct regular staff meetings with direct reports to update them on performance issues and/or changes in department procedures. Administer company policies and maintain departmental conformance with company practices and regulations. Always consult and seek advice from Sr. Manager when unsure of how to handle a situation or staff problem.
+ Perform other functions and duties as assigned by Sr. Manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervision of the Shipping & Receiving staff which includes the following:
+ Coordinator, Shipping & Receiving
+ Forklift Operator
**Qualifications**
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:
+ Familiarity with PC based software (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook), Inventory Management Systems and data entry mandatory.
+ Good mathematics skills.
+ Strong customer service skills.
+ Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and utilize own initiative.
+ Read, write and understand English with good oral communication skills.
+ Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity.
+ Ability to function as an effective team member and work well in a moderately stressful environment.
+ Clean, neat, organized and alert.
Experience:
+ 5 years’ experience in Inventory Control, Shipping, Receiving and Warehousing environment.
+ Prior supervisory experience
Education:
+ High School education
