**A Brief Overview**
Accountable for housekeeping and food service programs to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of establishment by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees. Supports the hospital's goal of excellence in patient care in a Christian, caring environment by facilitating positive employee relations and supporting department goals. Provides exceptional care and service to patients, residents, guests and fellow employees at all times.
**What you will do**
+ Establishes standards and procedures in compliance with all federal and state regulations for cleanliness and sanitation.
+ Monitors daily performance of staff; detect unsatisfactory trends/performance deficiencies through regular rounds and reports to appropriate manager.
+ Conducts meal rounds
+ Assists in conducting and coordinating staff orientation, training, and in-service education.
+ Trains staff in use of equipment, cleaning agents, sanitation requirements, proper cleaning techniques and self-inspection.
+ Plans work schedules to ensure adequate coverage including hands on coverage in areas requiring assistance.
+ Inspects and evaluates to ensure Environmental Services staff are meeting cleaning standards in accordance with policies and procedures.
+ Completes and submits quality improvement worksheets to ensure that duties are completed. Demonstrates ability to facilitate QA inspection program, conduct 15 inspections a week.
+ Submits to department manager recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space.
+ Maintains patient satisfaction scores above national average.
+ Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The individual must be able to work the hours specified. **Required Education,** **License/Certification,** **or Work Experience:**
+ High School or GED Equivalent 1-3 months related experience in housekeeping/food service and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ ServSafe Certificate - National Restaurant Association Upon Hire
