Maintenance Supervisor 1 - Nuclear Fuel Services - Erwin, TN
Summary Description of Job:
To supervise Maintenance Mechanics on assigned shift so that continuity of production may be maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise Maintenance Mechanics. Assignment of tasks to individual hourly Maintenance Mechanics and subsequent follow up. Coordinate with production shift foreman to ensure timeliness of repair and safety of all personnel involved. Evaluate the Maintenance Mechanics workmanship, attendance record, and safety attitude, and take action as necessary to correct poor practices. Provide mechanics with the proper tools and safety equipment for specific jobs. Requisition needed parts or materials from Warehouse or Maintenance stock. Maintain time records on hourly employees. Train both new and experienced employees in various phases of Maintenance. Personal check of individual jobs when completed to ensure adequacy and completeness of assignment. Receive instructions from the shift foreman on preceding shift and pass on instructions to the shift foreman on succeeding shift. Troubleshoot and evaluate maintenance repair work. Coordinate with Engineering to refine job design and ensure maintainability of equipment. Coordinate with support groups, as necessary, to provide effective maintenance service.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma
Experience Requirements of Job (Beyond educational or equivalent):
Six to eight years' experience with two to four years' experience on chemical processing equipment.
Pay: $62,000.00 - $109,000.00
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $62,000.00 and $109,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
