The opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Manager the Supervisor will oversee and manage the maintenance of the gas network, have a practical understanding of the gas Industry and the management of a blue collar and subcontractor workforce.
This is a full-time permanent role based in Adelaide working on a Monday to Friday roster. You will be provided with a vehicle for work purposes and will be available to start beginning of May.
What you’ll do
Responsible for overseeing and the supervision of field and contract personal engaged in the construction of the gas distribution system. Undertake various aspects of planning, estimating, scheduling and issuing of relevant construction work to field crews and subcontractors. Responsible for overseeing the performance of both employees and subcontractors to ensure the Downer, client and regulatory policies and procedures are maintained, followed, and always complied with. Provide support to the Project/ Site Manager on all information about site requirements, crew availability, and day to day operations ensuring that it is cost efficient as possible.What we offer

Certificate III or IV in Gas Supply Industry Operations, Utilities, or equivalent field (highly regarded) Relevant trade background in gas, plumbing, or civil construction (desirable) Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in gas distribution or utility planning, preferably within domestic or metropolitan networks in South Australia. White Card – Construction Induction (mandatory) SA Gas Distribution Network Induction (or willingness to obtain) Current Driver’s Licence (mandatory) Training in pipeline safety, confined space, or live gas environments (desirable) Competency in the use of work management systems (e.g. SAP, Maximo) and Microsoft Office suite‘About Energy & Utilities…
