Job Summary
Job Overview:
Responsible for supervising all kitchen personnel,
Will be responsible for scheduling, recruiting, orienting, training, evaluating and disciplining team members,
This position will be responsible for the set-up and distribution of all food and non-food items from the kitchen,
Responsible for ensuring quality standards of sanitation, safety, security, food presentation and service are met or exceeded at all times,
Must ensure that all standards are maintained to meet all local, state, federal and JCAHO requirements,
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent required,
Two years of experience in a hospital Food Service Department is required,
Excellent interpersonal skills,
Must have excellent critical thinking skills,
Will interact with Food Service employees, hospital staff, patients and visitors,
Preferred:
Associate or bachelor s Degree from an accredited College or University is preferred,
Supervisory experience preferred,
ServSafe Certified
Scheduling Requirements:
5:30 am 2:00 pm
May need to come in occasionally to cover another supervisory position,
Every other weekend/Holiday Rotation
