Location: Birmingham

Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

 

What will you be responsible for?

As a Supervisor, you'll be working within the Traffic Management team, supporting them in all aspects of traffic management, including making safe, and repairing  category 1 / 2 defects and assisting with highways emergencies as directed, providing traffic management cover on nights, weekends and bank holidays. 

Undertaking traffic management works to a high technical standard red book, delivering briefing TBTs to the traffic management highways maintenance operatives Operating vehicles and plant requiring specialist skills, carrying out daily vehicle checks, routine maintenance, ensuring defect reports are competed and submitted, All aspects of Traffic management works including installation and removal of temporary traffic management Completing OSIs, taking responsibility for the safety of yourself within your direct Traffic Management team checking compliance with the relevant health and safety legislations  Allocating and capturing of time and subcontractor resources used in completing tasks in line with the BHMMS systems, keeping records, completing all necessary paperwork, communicating and liaising with traffic management highways maintenance operatives of Kier, subcontractors, emergency services, public, clients and customers Managing temporary traffic management operations and directing traffic management highways maintenance operatives to various workstreams on the contract such as road / lane closures, traffic lights, and footway management works, including out of hours emergency traffic management response along with a need in completing work packs daily

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Supervisor is great for you if:

You hold previous supervisory or line management experience with knowledge of highway works Have an SMSTS OR SSSTS as well as Lantra M1, M2, M3, M5, T6 qualifications Drive and hold a current driving licence
