Supervisor Biomedical Equipment Repair Engineer (BMET)

 

Inova Fairfax medical Campus is seeking a full-time Biomedical Equipment Repair Engineer 2 to join the team. This position full-time (40 hours) scheduled Monday - Friday and will eventually be a part of the on-call rotation. Biomedical Engineering Technology Supervisor (BMET) Job Responsibilities:

The Biomedical Engineering Technology (BMET) Supervisor oversees, executes and maintains a safe and effective medical equipment maintenance program consistent with the Equipment Management Plan, Clinical Engineering policies and procedures and Inova policies. This position oversees and completes preventative maintenance, repairs, department sweeps, incoming inspections and recalls while providing the highest levels of customer service. The BMET Supervisor is responsible for customer satisfaction including communications, reporting, participation in Safety Committee, Environment of Care Committee and other meetings and participation and execution of special projects, such as new product installations or department retrofits.  This position manages the technical support of hardware and software of medical equipment/information systems in order to maintain continued patient monitoring and ensures the continued workings of the electronic interfaces from various devices to the electronic medical records systems.. May perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Biomedical Engineering Technology (BMET) Supervisor Requirements:

Work Schedule: Full-time Day Shift: Monday to Friday and will eventually be a part of the on-call rotation  Education:  Associate’s degree- Program in Electrical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Mechanics, Information technology or Data Communications or HS Diploma/GED and 2 additional years of experience  Experience: 8 years OR the equivalent combination of education and experience. AND Supervisory experience in Electronics, mechanical, clinical engineering, biomedical engineering, information technology and network infrastructure staff. Experience in using an array of electronic/ medical test equipment and network analyzers. Certifications: 10 vendor training courses and at least one technical specialty, OR Completion of 5 vendor training courses or equivalent electronic, Information Technology/Information Systems experience.
