Responsible for supervising employees who construct and repair a variety of woodwork such as benches, doors, stairs, roofs, bins and partitions, office furniture and cabinets. Supervises masonry work such as building walls and floors, furnace and boiler settings, and the application and repair of plaster. 


Principal Accountabilities: 


1. Supervises and directs the work of carpenters relating to the installation and/or replacement. 
2. Works from drawings or verbal instructions and uses a variety of carpentry hand and power tools. 
3. Assigns and lays out jobs for carpenters and closely allied workers. 
4. Performs the carpentry duties necessary to construct and maintain building woodwork. 
5. Estimates job requirement from plans and specifications and/or field surveys. 
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.
