Supervisor - Centralized Clinical Support Services Medical Group Location: WellSpan Medical Group, York, PA Schedule: Full Time Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm General Summary Supervises the Centralized Support Team in their duties to support primary care and specialty practices with outreach, inbasket management, scanning and other administrative tasks. Collaborates with the director to incorporate LEAN management to promote the efficiency of this centralized team in supporting the demands of our practices. Provides leadership and direction to the Centralized Support Team, develops and initiates plans to enhance the team's ability to support the practices using a centralized approach and focus. Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions: + Works as a member of the operations leadership team to develop and ensure the successful completion of goals, objectives and system aims for improving centralized support to our practices by offloading work that can be completed using a centralized approach. + Provides supervision, direction, oversight, and support of the work of centralized support personnel. + Completes all duties and tasks expected of the Centralized Teams; fills in to support staffing vacancies and increase in work volumes as needed. + Responsible for hiring and completing performance reviews of the centralized support personnel. + Collaborates with the director to ensure adequate staffing models and focus on high-priority areas as the needs of the organization and practices shift. + Assists in the implementation, monitoring, auditing, and ongoing improvement of initiatives. + Tracks the progress of goals, productivity, and performance standards. Stays abreast of emerging trends and standards related to quality and centralized support. + Works to operationalize strategies to improve workflows, as well as efficient use of health information technology to support centralized patient-centered care delivery. + Identifies gaps in workflows or processes and works with team and leadership to achieve expected outcomes. + Implements controls to ensure appropriate customer service and workforce management, as well as human, financial and material resources to ensure a high quality, cost effective and responsive health care service to all customers. Common Expectations: + Selects, trains/orients, assigns staff, evaluates performance, prepares work schedules and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions. + Works with the leadership to manage budgets. + Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. + Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops. + Responsible for the care and maintenance of department/entity equipment and supplies. + Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications. Qualifications Minimum Education: + Associates Degree Required Work Experience: + 3 years Leadership experience. Required + Supervisory experience. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Knowledge of outpatient clinical workflows.
