Supervisor Clinic
Overview

Work in the heart of human Kindness at CHI Oakes Clinic. As our Clinic Supervisor, you'll assist the President of the Hospital with planning, directing and coordinating operations in the clinic affiliated with this facility, to ensure quality health care and to promote a positive clinic image. Monitors overall day-to-day operations and functions as resource person for clinic staff and providers. Coordinates communications between departments regarding clinic matters.

CHI Oakes Hospital is a 20-bed critical access hospital that provides various inpatient and outpatient services to approximately 14000 people in southeastern North Dakota. It is also a 24-Hour Emergency Level V Trauma Center. The hospital building was newly-constructed in 2007 replacing a 50-year old building and in 2010 Oakes Community Clinic was opened within the hospital building. The hospital is part of a larger values-based organization CommonSpirit Health.


Responsibilities

Listens, motivates and participates in team efforts; actively works to generate respect and enthusiasm; cooperates with others through sharing duties and is perceived as available and responsive to team members and sets positive examples for desired work ethic and attitude. Demonstrates Oakes Hospital’s values and behavior standards and acts as a mentor and role model for clinic staff.Reviews reports of ongoing customer service surveys to determine the satisfaction of patients, and develops action plans conducive to improving customer service and customer satisfaction. Maintains education, certifications and validations required for position. Promotes on-going education and growth for staff and self. Completes annual training and ensures employees of the clinic complete trainings as well. Coordinates routine equipment maintenance and maintains records of both routine maintenance and equipment repairs. Assures that clinic staff and operations follow approved environmental and safety guidelines and procedures. Responds to environmental and/or facility concerns and implements corrective action, as needed. Interviews prospective employees and makes recommendations to administration/HR on hiring, disciplinary action and termination of employees. All documents related to actions are in proper order and per policy. Interviews are conducted as per Oakes Hospital policy and procedure. Contributes to the orientation of all new employees to department and facility policies, procedures and job descriptions. Completes employee performance reviews according to standard operating procedure. Meets with the employees on a regular basis to determine job satisfaction and assist employees with resources to improve the work environment for them.Assures that employee payroll is completed accurately and on a timely basis. Follows policy with regards to timecard submission date, time and benefits used.


Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with applicable experience.Two or more years of previous hospital experience.Two years of management experience.Ability to work with providers in a collaborative manner.
