ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary and ancillary support staff in the provision of mental health services to patients.
· Provide daily administrative oversight to the team, with technical supervision of licensed clinical staff exercised in accordance with scope-of-practice guidelines.
· Provide care coordination as needed to patients to ensure the coordination of care and to facilitate access to needed services.
· Review case records for completeness, consistency, and quality of services provided including application of proper techniques; ensures compliance with state and federal mandates.
· Assist in planning, developing, and implementing mandatory and discretionary programs in accordance with applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations by determining type and level of services to be provided; measure of quality-assurance to be employed; and formulating and carrying out policies and procedures.
· Review and assess client treatment plans, including short- and long-term goals. Review clinical records to evaluate the necessary level of patient care.
· Complete required paperwork including intake forms, progress notes, treatment plans and discharge summaries
· Document and maintain client contacts, care coordination, crisis/consult contacts, and community contacts according to ethical standards and organizational protocols.
· Conduct treatment plan review as required.
· Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
· Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Health or related field required. Master’s degree in behavioral health or related field preferred.
· Three or more years’ clinical experience in a health or human service agency.
· One or more years’ working directly with the facility patient population required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
· Certification/Licensure as required by state.
· CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
· First aid may be required based on state or facility.
