Summary The Supervisor-Coding oversees day-to-day activities of the coding team. Collaborates with other Revenue Cycle departments to ensure timely coding of discharged accounts and works to resolve claim edits and/or denials. Provides ongoing education to the coding team. Reports any coding concerns to the manager/director and recommends appropriate action. This role is 100% remote in our remote-eligible states. We are accepting applicants that can work remotely and live in AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MO, MT, NC, NE, NV, TN, TX, OH, WA, or WI. Qualifications Education Associates degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or a related discipline is required. High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of clinical documentation, coding, revenue cycle or a related experience may be considered in lieu of an Associate’s degree. Experience 3 years of coding experience is required. 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience is required. Certifications, Licenses and Registrations One of the following is required: Hospital Coding: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). Professional/Clinic Coding: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
