Supervisor Collections

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

Arranges and oversees completion of all work on assigned Collections team

Participates in the recruitment, selection, promotion, and alignment of qualified and diverse talent

Outlines employee role accountabilities and expectations; manages performance to drive the right behaviors and improve results and provides useful real-time coaching, development activities and stretch assignments; supports employees with problem resolution

Manages workflow, account assignments, account on-boarding, problem resolutions and resources for the team

Partners with trainers to close team member knowledge and skill gaps

Identifies, recommends, and implements improvements in processes to increase effectiveness of operations.

Achieves accounts receivable operational goals i.e., DSO, Past Due Percentages

Accountable for meeting organizational quality scores

Understanding of department P&L

Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential

Troubleshoots complex issues with business partners and escalates critical business issues to leadership

Continually expands and increases personal knowledge of accounts receivable, business partner and industry changes or trends

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Minimum 1 year of applicable experience in Accounts Receivable and Collections or related finance operations processes

Minimum 2 years of progressive experience fostering teamwork, mentoring, and coaching others or a managing a team

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs, specifically Excel

Ability to travel up to 10% (domestically)

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed corporate environment

Strong strategic orientation, business savvy, and influence skills

Effective and flexible communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholder groups

High degree of professionalism, customer service orientation and interpersonal skills

Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities sound decisions
