Are you an expert in cost estimating and enjoy leading a team in a fast-paced environment? 
 

In this role, you will support the development of a multi-billion-dollar project portfolio. The role involves directing a team of cost estimating professionals to develop accurate and reliable cost estimates for Enbridge’s capital growth project portfolio. These estimates are used to directly advise business investment decisions for Liquids Pipelines, Gas Transmission & Midstream, Gas Distribution & Storage and Solar, Wind and Low Carbon projects.

What You Will Do:

Lead multidiscipline capital cost estimating team to support the development of hundreds of large-scale infrastructure projects per year with values ranging from $50M – $10B.

Support development of new projects through capital cost estimating, risk & contingency evaluations, and future market cost estimates.

Ensure accurate, consistent, defendable and reliable cost estimate deliverables that meet customer needs

Present, support and defend estimates, methods and details to various levels of leadership. Creation of slides where project capital cost and risk profile (monte-carlo) are communicated.

Support, liaise and coordinate with Project Development, Business Development, Senior Leadership and other internal partners.

Drive department initiatives for cost savings, continuous improvement, resource planning, customer service and employee development.

Perform people leader responsibilities, including assigning and reviewing work, establishing performance and strategic objectives, conducting regular performance evaluations, and mentor team members to reach their full potential across multiple locations.
 

Who You Are:

University degree, diploma in Engineering, Business or related construction or operational training.

Minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience.  For those who do not possess a degree, 10 years of related experience is required. Note will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated capability leading teams in strategic planning and project managing complex, large-scale projects in dynamic environments.  This includes engaging and authentic leadership qualities.

Effective interpersonal skills to engage diverse audiences by communicating in a way that matches their preferences with strong emotional intelligence and situational awareness.

Solutions-oriented customer focus mindset

Role requires a valid driver’s license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.

Valid passport to travel between Canada and US.
 

Working Conditions:

Office environment.

Up to 10-20% travel between US and Canada.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
