**Responsibilities:**
As part of the Community Health Choices Service Coordination Team, the Critical Incident Specialist Supervisor is responsible for the management of the Critical Incident reporting team and program objectives, including timely identification, reporting, investigation, review, and closure of the critical incident process in the Pennsylvania Enterprise Management System (EIM), as well as, collaborating with the Quality Management Team and assisting with state regulatory reporting.; Implements and supports the Critical Incident process, including reporting metrics and process improvement. Works collaboratively with Service Coordinators, Quality Management team, and leadership.;;
Principal Accountabilities:
+ Executes organizational efforts in ongoing quality improvement processes to ensure compliance with State, Federal, regulatory, and accrediting body’s standard requirements.
+ Facilitates and monitors the Critical Incident process in collaboration with Service Coordinators, providers, and Quality Management, ensuring timely and accurate completion of the CI process with the goal of ensuring Participant health and safety and mitigating future risk.
+ Responsible for participating; in reporting needs and process improvement
+ Will audit the Critical Incident process, documentation, quality and timeliness.
+ Identifies, resolves, and/or escalates problematic QI areas that may place the plan at risk of not achieving annual goals.
+ Serves as a resource to other departments in completing Critical Incident requirements and goals.;
+ Works professionally and efficiently with all functional areas to meet organizational and departmental goals.
+ Responsible for providing input into the development of Quality projects and accountable for the execution and documentation of those projects, ensuring identification of the root cause; with the assistance of the Manager, Director, and Quality Management leadership, establishes a work plan to implement interventions.
+ Leads critical incident specialists in implementing interventions to improve quality performance.
+ Responsible for the creation and submission of state compliance documentation of activities and projects within his/her scope of responsibility and in collaboration with leadership and Quality Management
+ Uses data and analysis tools to identify opportunities for improved performance and collaborates with peers to develop intervention strategies.
+ Removes barriers to achieve successful completion of strategic projects.
+ Conducts analysis and provides summary reports and analysis to senior management.
+ Other duties as assigned.
General:
+ Works collaboratively with all providers, members, and departments within the AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies to conduct ongoing process and data reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
+ Performs ad-hoc analysis of any underperforming or “broken” processes by collaborating with Subject Matter Experts and/or Customers to define existing processes and make recommendations for improvement.
+ Manages, trains, and develops new and existing staff. **;**
**Education/ Experience:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree required.
+ 1 to 3 years of leadership experience required.
+ A minimum of 3 years in service quality improvement or service coordination is required.
+ A minimum of 3 years in human service delivery is required. ;
**Other Skills:**
+ Managed Healthcare experience preferred.
+ Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work successfully within all levels of the organization.
+ Proficient PC skills in a Windows-based environment, including Excel.
