As a Supervisor, you will supervise the technical and administrative functions of the Environmental Services department. Some of your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Acting as a technical resource for caregivers.
+ Implementing goals consistent with assigned clinical and non-clinical units.
+ Providing effective utilization of personnel, policies and procedures in order to ensure a clean, safe and attractive environment.
The ideal future caregiver is someone who:
+ Has experience with Microsoft platforms, such as Excel, Word and Teams.
+ Is independent when locating key resources for caregivers.
+ Can balance frontline work (monitoring caregivers across the hospital) with office work (monitoring the bed board, payroll, inventory, etc.).
+ Demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
This position is an excellent entry level leadership role that allows you to be present with the team every day. This is a hands-on job that presents many skillsets, such as learning about finance, productivity dashboards and how analytics applies to Environmental Services.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Supervises employees in daily operations and evaluates performance.
+ Continuously inspects assigned areas to ensure high quality of cleaning and maintenance is being performed.
+ Maintains staffing levels, approves and schedules paid time off and leave requests.
+ Ensures cross coverage.
+ Coordinates and provides orientation, education and training.
+ Improves procedures and processes.
+ Analyzes work flow and procedures. Identifies and implements opportunities to improve speed, quality and effectiveness.
**Education:**
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Bachelor's Degree may substitute for the experience requirement.
**Certifications:**
+ None required.
**Complexity of Work:**
+ Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
+ Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
**Work Experience:**
+ Two years of experience as a work leader, team lead or project manager, or one year of supervisor experience in a related field.
+ Previous environmental services or housekeeping experience is highly preferred.

**Physical Requirements:**
+ Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
+ Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
+ Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
+ Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
+ Ability to perform duties while walking, standing, stooping and lifting.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
