Position Summary
Responsible for overseeing the activities of the cleaning staff, ensuring that all public areas—including front-of-house spaces, food and beverage outlets, and designated back-of-house areas—are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness
Primary Responsibility Always check personal hygiene and be well groomed in appearance Deliver courteous and attentive service to guests, responding promptly and effectively to inquiries, complaints, and requests. Organize, coordinate, and participate in the cleaning activities of all function rooms, restrooms, and lobby areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation Properly manage all shift handovers, ensuring that cleaners are clearly informed of any outstanding tasks or necessary follow-up actions Conduct on-the job training to new staff. Ensure that they are familiar with house rules and regulations including safety procedures and security Manage special cleaning schedules for cleaners, ensuring tasks are clearly assigned and executed efficiently Maintain a logbook to document all necessary follow-up actions for the incoming shift Monitor the usage of cleaning materials and ensure sufficient inventory levels of cleaning supplies and chemicals are maintained Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition Ensure the use of appropriate cleaning methods and equipment for each task Develop and distribute monthly work schedules for cleaning staffs Plan and coordinate annual leave rosters to maintain optimal staffing levels Maintain good rapport with other departments to ensure the highest level of efficient service throughout the hotel Promptly address and resolve guest concerns to ensure satisfaction and uphold service standards Organize daily work assignments effectively, making necessary adjustments to staffing and schedules based on operational needs. Conduct daily inspections of all assigned areas, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards Report any inadequacies to the Executive Manager Take prompt action to resolve conflicts or disputes among team members Motivate staff through recognition and positive reinforcement Comply with all hotel policies and procedures Perform other related duties as assigned by the superior
