ITER is a unique, first of a kind project that aims to demonstrate the technical and scientific feasibility of fusion energy. Amentum one of three partners making up the Consortium MOMENTUM (construction management-as- agent contractor) is project managing the construction and assembly of more than one million components in world’s largest fusion reactor. As construction management-as-agent contractor, MOMENTUM is managing the construction and assembly of the first full-scale test reactor to include balance of plant and the Tokomak itself. Amentum is recruiting an established (7 to 14y.) Supervisor (F/H) to work on the ITER Project near Aix-en-Provence, France.
We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Supervisor to join our team and contribute to the success of the ITER project. The ideal candidate will have a background in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with construction site experience, and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of construction activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities\:
Implementation of Project Procedures\:
Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Implementation\:
Review and implement contractors' hazard analyses for planned work activities. Minimize construction risks by identifying and deploying mitigation strategies. Review contractor’s site-specific HSE and Quality Plans. Lead by example as a safety role model to all parties.Validation of Contractor’s Progress\:
Monitor and coordinate site construction activities through daily involvement. Document daily activities, including work progress, safety, quality, and schedule issues. Assist in validating contractor’s progress and review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).Coordination of Daily Contractor Work\:
Coordinate cross-site support services, including scaffolding, lifting, and handling. Assist in resolving work issues between project subcontractors and Construction Supervisors. Coordinate the execution of the construction work scope and handover activities.Contract Compliance\:
Read and understand contract technical documents, specifications, drawings, and supplemental material. Ensure that construction work conforms to legal, regulatory, and customer requirements. *Description - External
