Supervisor Food Service (Rations)
Overview ***This position is physically located in Iraq in support of LOGCAP*** Under direction of the Food Service Supervisor (PIC) & DFAC Manager, the Supervisor Food Service (Rations) Direct/Manage/Supervise and provide oversight to the warehouse staff processes and systems to ensure products are received, returned, and accounted for appropriately. Responsible for maintaining warehouse health and safety standards and for the security of the warehouse, yard and stock. Supervise, motivate, develop, and organize the warehouse staff. Monitor the and provide guidance on the daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management & team productivity. Responsible for the warehouse and yard setup layout and always ensure efficient space utilization. Ensure that the warehouse staff pull stockage and have ready for the next day’s meals in line with the scheduled menus. Supervise the warehouse staff to ensure that all stock deliveries are quality checked and tracked in the AFMIS system and STORES raising concerns on any discrepancies as soon as possible after receiving goods. Provide oversight to the warehouse staff to ensure that all stock items are dated and checked prior to being placed in storage. Supervise and monitor the returns of any product and associated paperwork coming back into the warehouse. Ensure any returns or damages are quarantined in line with company policies, work Instructions and/or procedures. Follow any guidance or additional duties assigned by your supervisors, Manager, and or Sr Management. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Directs/Manages/Supervises the daily operations of a food service stock control room or warehouse. Provides daily guidance to stock control personnel, and directs stock control personnel in the Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS) and inventory control management functions. Reconciles activity records for monthly and quarterly reporting and status reviews. Prepares, complies, and submit reports on work schedule, activities, and operations. Confers with customer, supervisors, contractors and other personnel to exchange information and resolve problems. Assists with other job duties as directed. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Associates degree or equivalent trade school completion. Must provide a copy of the diploma or certificate. Must be CAC eligible an/or able able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC). Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have a valid home driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and host nation Driver’s License, is required Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbally. Food Service Food Protection Managers Certification approved under ANSI-CFP accredited programs and/or approved under the Tri Service Food Code guidelines Experience: Three (3) years of experience working in supply, inventory management, or warehouse. One (1) year of supervisory experience. Skills: Able to direct, manage, and supervise the daily operations of a food service stock control room or warehouse. Able to provide daily guidance to stock control personnel and directs stock control personnel in the Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS) and inventory control management functions. Able to reconciles activity records for monthly and quarterly reporting and status reviews. Able to prepare, comply, and submit reports on work schedule, activities, and operations. Able to confers with customer, supervisors, contractors and other personnel to exchange information and resolve problems. Supervisory Skills: Collaborative work style fostering cooperation and teamwork. Strong interpersonal skills. Prioritize responsibilities to handle a demanding workload Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. Physical Requirements: Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
