The Supervisor - Front Office will share our passion for excellence and will be enthusiastic about creating a memorable guest experience. The Supervisor - Front Office will be a part of a diverse and dynamic team which provides award-winning service to our valued guests. This position reports to the Front Office Manager.
A Maldivian work permit will be provided by the resort.
What you will do:
Responsible for the day to day key processes in his/her area of workWhere applicable, act as shift leader; leads and motivates colleagues by example and promotes teamworkAssume training responsibilities when required; demonstrate a high degree of standards awarenessActively offer operational, employee and customer (internal and external) related feedback to managementDisplay warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives the Golden RulePerform and supervises guest arrival, guest departure, cashiering tasks in accordance with resorts standards; fulfills special guest requestsProvide insightful information to internal and external customersHas excellent knowledge of and is able to intuitively recommend the resorts rooms and facilities; drives upselling programsAssume the responsibilities of the Assistant Manager in his/her absenceProvide genuine hospitality and recognition in the work area; maintains strict discretion; proactively updates guest history database; promote resorts services and productsAnticipate guest needs and take ownership of guest concerns and requests; ensure speedy and accurate follow up where required; act decisively to ensure guest satisfaction; reports and notifies all glitches to Assistant Manager for further follow upConduct daily briefings in the absence of management; assign shifts and duties to junior colleaguesInspect and ensure the work area is in good physical repair; reports defects and ensures timely rectificationProvide general accurate information to all callers and is familiar with Resorts services, hours of operation, key hotel personnel, daily activities and functionsAbility to successfully utilize the resources and train the team on telephone switchboard, various softwares, emergency procedures, wakeup call and emergency proceduresPerform pre- and spot shift checks; ensures junior colleagues are immaculately groomed and aware of daily eventsEnsure all resources for an efficient operation are in place; re-orders operating supplies when necessaryEnsure strict compliance with the hotel's cash handling and internal control proceduresBe knowledgeable about the resort, gives interesting and vivid descriptions in a concise, informative and appropriate mannerBe proficient at handling travel arrangements including issuing air tickets and boarding passes, amending travel itineraries, hotel and transportation bookingsBe highly sensitive to guests’ preferences and special requests, offers meaningful alternatives when special requests cannot be met; adds a special touch when an opportunity is presentedBe proficient in safe handling of equipment and machinery; reports defects and accidents to management immediatelyConduct routine maintenance and public area inspectionsWhat you bring:
Has 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in 5 star hotels or resortsPossess excellent English, math and psychometric abilitiesPossess aptitude and upward mobility. Internal candidates will have successfully completed the SDP courseFlunecy in a European language and international working experience is preferredPossess well developed guest PR skillsWhat we offer:
