The Residential Fiber Installation Field Supervisor will be responsible for a variety of tasks and projects as assigned. Typical tasks will range in size and complexity. This position will assist the Project Manager with various large scale projects and tasks as needed and may potentially take the lead on upcoming projects as assigned by the customer. What you will do: You will supervise a team of FTTH in-home and SMB installation technicians You will coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of field staff. You will coordinate scheduling, assist dispatch with daily job routing and ensure adequate staffing. You will identify problem areas in the department and communicate problems and possible solutions to the Project Manager. You will develop procedures and implement them to better organize the team/department. You will assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to technicians. You will assist in recruitment and training efforts. You will assist in warehousing and logistics support as needed to supplement the warehouse staff You will establish, implement, and maintain operating standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation. You will track employee performance, tool assignments, vehicle assignments, uniforms, consumable items, etc. through the creation and use of spreadsheets and other documents You will perform quality control inspections to correct and coach any issues found You will interface with customers to resolve complaints and damages resulting from installation work You will perform various field technician duties as needed, including but not limited to, carrying and climbing a ladder when necessary. You will perform other duties not listed here, as they arise, and as they are assigned to you. Required Skills: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Satisfy pre-employment requirements (background, drug screen, MVR & Driving). Supervisory experience in telecommunications is preferred. Must be able to work a very flexible schedule including nights and weekends and on-call. Proficient with Microsoft Excel. Team player.
