Description Under general supervision, supervises, coordinates and controls the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit.Assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of staff for assigned work unitImplement production plans according to approved scheduleMay participate in the full range of daily operational duties, performing the most difficultInspects and evaluates work in progress, identifies any problem areas, and may direct remedial actionConducts performance evaluations on subordinate staffPrepares estimates of the staffing, materials, and equipment requirements for projected work activitiesMaintains an inventory of parts and materialsApproves purchases of materials and equipmentMaintains time, materials and equipment use reportsRequisitions tools, supplies, materials and equipmentTrains staff in safety proceduresMaintains safety data sheets for crewsPerforms other duties as requiredQualifications

Minimum Qualifications 

High School diploma or GED and five (5) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience; OR

Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline with at least one (1) summer internship experience (or equivalent) working in a mining or industrial environment

Additional certifications or licensure appropriate to the job may be required

Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques

Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects

Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration

Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions

Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Preferred 

Familiar with industrial processing equipment 

What We Offer You

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $87,000-$121,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process. What We Require
