Position Summary

Directs and oversees day-to-day activities, Radiology staff andC- ARMS Equipment. Responsible for staffing schedules, daily staffing assignments, orientation of new staff members and continuing educational programs.

 

Responsibilities

•    Acts as a clinical resource for team in daily problem solving

•    Performs imaging studies within area of oversight as needed

•    Mentors new employees

•    Participates in Regulatory Compliance training and activities

•    Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement projects

•    Ensures compliance with established regulations and standards including quality improvement projects, quality assurance, and confidentiality and documentation

•    Maintains technical expertise and competency to operate equipment for departmental coverage needs 

•    Covers for other areas within Imaging Services department in absence of supervisor as needed

•    Performs annual performance evaluations, coaching and counseling

•    Performs other related duties as assigned

•    Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field 

•    Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

•    Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function

•    Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

 

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications


•    Radiology: Graduate of an accredited college in Radiologic Technology or US Military equivalent and ARRT Registered required

•    Bachelor degree preferred

•    Minimum 3 years’ experience in area of Radiology

•    Previous leadership experience preferred

•    Ability to use a computer and department specific software and EHR programs

•    BLS required

 

Working Conditions

•    Must be able to maintain a sitting position

•    Must be able to maintain a standing position

•    Must be able to stoop or crouch

•    Typical equipment used in a clinical job

•    Must be able to reach arms above or below shoulder height

•    Must be able to move or traverse with/without accommodation

•    Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
