Summary

Join our dedicated, diverse and inclusive team of over 9,000 professionals at our new location, Moffitt Cancer Center at SouthShore, scheduled to open in January 2025. This location in Ruskin, FL, will function as an ambulatory campus, providing comprehensive cancer care to our patients. 

Moffitt is establishing a network of Moffitt Ambulatory Centers (MACs), like the SouthShore location, within a 35-mile radius to support its distributed care model and bring our standard of care closer to our patients. 

Position Highlights:

Directly supervises staff members consisting of imaging technologists, imaging assistants and scheduling coordinator at Moffitt Cancer Center's freestanding out-patient sites. Responsibilities include day to day supervision and oversight of staff, strategic service planning, new service implementation, quality control and financial management. This position will effectively maintain a system for monitoring the quality, safety, productivity and the appropriateness of services provided to achieve the best individualized patient care possible based on age appropriateness. Ensures that all Federal and State regulations are compliant.

In addition, this position will perform radiological services "as needed" and is expected to maintain relevant licensure.

Responsibilities:

Directly Manage staff in the day-to-day operations of the imaging department

Perform and meet assigned deadlines for staff evaluation, hiring, promotion, and other personnel actions. Coordinate and/or train staff as necessary. Organizes, plans and directs activities relating to patient care and procedures for all designated areas. Coordinates schedules and workflow in the Imaging department. Organizes, plans and directs activities for all designated areas. Administers, revises, reviews and/or establishes department policies and procedures. Establishes a working relationship with the medical staff, clinics and other members of the Center. Responsible for the coordination and design of training materials and orientation for staff upon hire Resolves scheduling and operational issues daily in a positive and productive manner.

Ensures Compliance

Meet the department's needs and requirements for all regulatory agencies. Maintains all regulatory requirements for areas supervised. Meets the departmental needs and satisfies all requirements for regulatory agencies.

Manages department budget

Develops and adheres to budgeted operating expenses for Radiology. Spearhead projects for improvement of existing and addition of new service lines. Orders supplies to maintain a complete inventory of items used. Performs billing functions and maintains a thorough understanding of billing related issues

Ensures quality patient care

Work with Moffitt facilities department to schedule maintenance and repair of equipment. Submits work orders for equipment repair and maintenance needs.

Credentials and Qualifications:

Associate degree – Radiology Technology or related field of study Must have at least 5 years of Diagnostic Radiology experience and a minimum of 1 year leadership and/or supervisory experience is required. Must have one of the following certifications: ARRT (R) Radiography or ARRT (N) Nuclear Medicine Technology or certification through ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers) or CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) registry BLS – Basic Life Support

Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree – Radiology Technology ARRT-R, MR or ARRT-R, MR, ARRT-R. VI Multi-modality experience - this includes 2 or more different modalities. 2 years leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
