POSITION SUMMARY:
The DC Inventory Supervisor is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, customer service and operational standards and controls are completed in an efficient, innovative manner; Collaboration with internal business teams to develop and implement ‘best practice’ inventory processes and solutions in support of AEO’s Financial and Supply Chain goals. Leading and coaching a group of hourly associates in the processing and distribution of merchandise through a state-of-the-art, high-technology distribution center in a cost effective, safe and customer service oriented manner for seamless fulfillment to our customers and stores.

Train, develop, and supervise a group of hourly employees; able to effectively lead smaller teams and larger teams while efficiently supporting the operation and the associates. Guide team members through coaching, training, growth and development; ensure departmental morale and engagement remains positive and reflective of the AEO Culture. Promote a safe and productive work environment by communicating expectations and managing deficiencies/behavior, as needed. Help change behavior for the better. Serve as point of contact for associate concerns and feedback; handle sensitive situations with care and tact while partnering with the appropriate support teams as required. Communicate daily to associates regarding production/quality goals and Company information. Help others recognize their areas of strength and weakness in a constructive manner. Use various methods to help individuals attain higher performance levels. Thorough and timely completion of all job responsibilities as it pertains to administering Company policies, procedures, timekeeping and attendance, etc. Leverage temporary associates to achieve day-to-day departmental goals (where needed); utilize appropriate channels to deliver feedback and manage performance. Participate in hiring activities and decisions including internal promotion, temp-to-hire program, onboarding, training, etc. Evaluate job performance of associates in assigned departments including annual review/merit process, where applicable.OPERATIONAL EXECUTION & EXCELLENCE
Maintain focus on OMNI channel-fulfillment through understanding departmental obligations to internal and external customers on an on-going basis. Work with DC Management Teams inclusive of production planning to manage staffing for maximum productivity and efficiency. Develop and deliver inventory analysis to identify, inform and guide decision making; recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comprehensive analyses; Ability to summarize results and insights presenting findings/actions appropriate to internal/external audience Responsible for reviewing and analyzing inventory adjustments as needed; validating shrink and reconciliation stores Balance workflow and staffing levels throughout the building, maintaining excellent customer service and communication with all internal partners and teams. Partner with support teams (maintenance, IT, etc.) to execute plans to meet SLAs and fulfil business obligations; monitor departmental progress and adjust as needed throughout the shift. Ensure quality / accuracy standards are maintained; communicate and coach for improvement, where needed. Promote a safe workplace and encourage timely reporting; complete all aspects of the monthly and quarterly Safety Scorecard Program. Partner and collaborate with other supervisors/departments to maximize and flex the labor force to meet daily objectives. Support safety incident investigations and corrective actions. Maintain the security of all merchandise and capital equipment in assigned departmentsQUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Logistics or equivalent work experience Two years previous management experience in a warehouse/distribution/retail environment or equivalent; .com and/or "Omni-channel" retailing experience preferred. Three years experience in production/processing, auditor/loss prevention in a retail environment or equivalent Strong analytical, prioritizing, problem solving skills Demonstrated strong professional communication, collaboration skills with strong attention to detail Understanding of WMS and/or experience with RF Experience working with PKMS, AS-400 and RF Equipment or similar products and equipment. Ability to manage multiple assignments Bi-lingual preferred: English/Spanish Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and planning skills Excellent problem solving ability, high sense of urgency High degree of proficiency with Google & Internet applications Must have the ability to act independently PAY/BENEFITS INFORMATION: Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
