Position Summary:
The IT Infrastructure Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of Bozeman Health’s IT infrastructure including voice and/or network engineering, systems and/or cloud engineering, or cybersecurity, by managing a team of engineers or technicians responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting server, network, and storage systems, (whether on-premise or cloud based) ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be consideredSeven (7) years of experience with servers, desktop, networks, cloudsFive (5) years of experience configuring and maintaining Firewalls, Network switches, virtual desktops, wireless, server and storage platforms in a moderately sized organizationThree (3) years of experience leading technology projects and technical teamsCertified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalentThree (3) years of work experience in a lead or supervisory rolePreferred: Microsoft Azure Cloud Certification or equivalentPreferred: Vendor Systems Management Certification or equivalentPreferred: Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP)Preferred: Prior hospital or medical practice experienceEssential Job Functions: In addition to the job's essential functions listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements
With and through assigned teams, ensures efficient and secure life cycle management of systems related to BH infrastructure that support the networking, cloud, voice, servers, and data center operations for BH.Maintains associated vendor relationships, and manages related budget items.Coordinates and participates in support and implementation activities to ensure that technical requirements and tasks are understood, clearly communicated, and executed on time and on budget for assigned systems.Participates in core leadership discussions and decisions and acts as a liaison and escalation point between assigned functional areas and customers, project managers and other IT department leadership to ensure support services goals are achieved professional and efficiently.Serves as a member of the Technical Advisory Council and Change Advisory Board.Ensures that technical staffing levels, training, and certification requirements are met.Fosters and maintains close communication and positive working relationships within the IT division.Ensures technical aspects/projects/upgrades and/or issues related to assigned systems are addressed efficiently and effectively.Remains current in related industry best practices, regularly reviews and recommends changes to BH infrastructure equipment, vendor and vendor services and internal operations.Develops and maintains effective system monitoring, alert and notification processes with a focus on proactive identification and maintaining 24 x 7 operations within minimal unplanned downtime.Ensures the necessary coordination and budgetary consideration occurs with internal facilities, external vendors, and other IT departments to maintain smooth operation, capacity needs, and maintenance schedules of datacenter and data closet equipment.Routinely assess technology and staff to identify opportunity to improve or enhance operations.Regularly assesses and procures licensing and capacity for assigned systems.Ensures Backup and Disaster recovery needs are captured, documented and implemented. Maintains documented gaps and manages strategy to close gaps through budgetary process.Ensures that telecommunication infrastructure meets current and future business needs and is maintained according to industry best practices.Assist other staff to resolve technical and process issuesPartner with the Department Manager to ensure ongoing projects, initiatives, and service requests are accomplishedMotivate, mentor and inspire the team in order to ensure that commitments are met on time and with quality, ensuring timely communication of challenges and successes of the team to management and/or the team at largePerform administrative duties including, but not limited to managing Purchase Orders, processing timecards, preparing budgetary informationOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
