In conjunction with the Facility Manager and/or Director, supervises the staff and assures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements. Has direct responsibility for the testing within the department and works with the technical managers to assure staff competency and accurate test performance. Assists or performs new test validations. Perform routine tests when needed. Assists in the troubleshooting of problems with tests, instruments and sample delivery. Works to assure proper turnaround times and accurate reports. May supervise direct reports to with team resources tasks including employment, counseling's, and annual evaluations. Assists the Facility Managers with duties associated with team resources, quality reporting, infectious disease reporting, education and marketing. Assists in processing expense and billing information to the appropriate departments.
