This role ensures aesthetically pleasing, functional, and sustainable landscapes while adhering to DHCM standards, budgets, and safety regulations. The Landscape Supervisor leads a team of landscape technicians and laborers, coordinating daily operations and ensuring high-quality workmanship. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Landscape Maintenance Operations:** Oversee and participate in all aspects of landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, pruning, fertilization, irrigation, pest and disease control, weed management, seasonal planting, and other related tasks. Ensure adherence to best practices and DHCM standards. + **Irrigation System Management:** Manage and maintain irrigation systems, optimizing water usage and minimizing waste. Schedule irrigation cycles, troubleshoot malfunctions, and coordinate repairs. Implement water conservation strategies. + **Plant Health Management:** Monitor plant and turf health, diagnosing and treating pest, disease, and nutrient deficiencies. Implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies. Select appropriate plant materials for the local climate. + **Landscape Improvement Projects:** Contribute to landscape enhancement projects, including planting, hardscape installation, and renovations. Oversee contractor work when necessary, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications. + **Budget Management:** Assist in budget preparation and manage expenditures for landscape maintenance activities. Track costs and ensure efficient resource allocation. + **Safety & Compliance:** Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with DHCM policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards. Promote a safe working environment. + **Inventory Control:** Manage inventory of landscape equipment, tools, and supplies. Ensure proper maintenance and timely procurement. Maintain accurate inventory records. + **Reporting & Documentation:** Prepare regular reports on landscape activities, resource utilization, and any challenges. Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, plant inventories, and other relevant data. + **Stakeholder Communication:** Communicate effectively with residents, community stakeholders, and internal DHCM departments.
