About the Role

As a Supervisor within the Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM) Truck Maintenance team at Jimblebar, you will have the opportunity to guide a talented team managing the safe and cost effective maintenance on our fleet of trucks, in order to ensure availability, performance and integrity.

Reporting to the Superintendent Mobile Maintenance, your duties will include demonstrating and instilling an overriding commitment to health, safety & environment, setting and clearly communicating targets and expectations. Your previous experience coaching and mentoring employees to deliver on plan and build a high performing team will ensure your success in this role.

You will be responsible for execution of maintenance plans across 70 793F/NG haul trucks as well as fleet of service trucks and water carts.  Our team consists of 10 HD fitters, 2 auto elect, 1 autonomous technician as well as apprentice/TA and maintenance associate.

Location

You will be based at Jimblebar mine site on a fly-in fly-out 8/6, 7/7 roster. Jimblebar is the first ever Greenfield mine to be both developed and operated by BHP Iron Ore and is located 40 km North-East of Newman, Western Australia.

The facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, netted cricket pitch, basketball court, beach volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, Smart TV. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, smart television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.

About You

As our successful candidate you will ideally possess the following:

 

Proven experience in a supervisory role maintaining Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Trade qualification within a mechanical discipline, is preferred not essential Maintenance experience with Autonomous Caterpillar mobile equipment Have Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) exposure Current full "C" class motor vehicle license – essential Diploma in Frontline Management and qualification in Six Sigma are desirable Working knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection Act & Regulations Solid technical experience within maintenance in a mining business SAP systems knowledge of maintenance processes (e.g. Work management, reliability, information management, cost control and budgeting processes) preferred Experience leading and mentoring teams and an ability to commit to providing development of supervisory staff. Intermediate Microsoft office capability desirable with basic essential S26 DMIRS Exam completion desirable
