ABOUT THE ROLE

 

Reporting to the Superintendent Electrical Maintenance, the purpose of the Electrical Supervisor role is to lead a team of maintenance electrical/instrument technicians to ensure the safe, cost effective and productive execution of maintenance and scheduled work activities to support the operations at Worsley Alumina Refinery.

This role will be offered on a Permanent basis working a Day Shift roster 4 x 10-hour days per week.

 

This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Refinery which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.

As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.


Key responsibilities are, but not limited to:

Oversee all aspects of electrical maintenance execution activities within your area of responsibility. Duties under your appointment as a Statutory appointed Electrical Supervisor Ensure electrical work is conducted safely by competent electrical personnel in accordance with the relevant standards and operating procedures and relative legislative requirements. Delivery of safe outcomes through safety leadership, in-field coaching and application of procedures and policies Guide and coach individual team members to build a high performing team

 

ABOUT YOU 

Currently or can be appointed a statutory supervisor under Schedule 26 Deep knowledge of electrical maintenance activities for industrial equipment including VSD’s, conveyors, pumps, control valves, level and flow transmitters, radiation density devices, PLC’s and safety management systems. Demonstrated ability to develop, coach and mentor employees resulting in improved engagement, performance and efficiency. Intermediate proficiency in computer applications such as SAP, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

 

 

Qualifications for this position are:

Trade Certificate as Electrician and WA unrestricted electrical license Preferable qualifications as Instrument Fitter or Cert IV in Instrumentation Possess’ significant supervisory experience in a refinery maintenance environment.
