JOB SUMMARY:
Plans and manages an engineering team whose functions include design, testing, manufacturing engineering, production support (MRB), and MP. This includes oversight of the people, activities and tools used within the McCauley Engineering, Production Support (EPS), as well as performing the tasks of EPS. Those tasks include design and testing of new concepts, certification, and providing physical review and technical support to Textron Aviation (McCauley) product lines, suppliers and other engineering groups to resolve manufacturing nonconformances (analyzes nonconformances and writes engineering repair dispositions on in-factory aircraft and/or propellers with focus on design integrity, ensuring reliability, serviceability, and maintaining certification). Provides an environment which encourages innovation, creative solutions to nonconformances, individual responsibility and a spirit of teamwork with peers, customers and suppliers. Material Review Board Engineering is the operational function.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and manage team members’ work assignments, scheduling, timekeeping and performance managementDevelop team members through near-term and long-term strategic plans to provide growth opportunities in areas of technical/personal/leadership developmentOversee team’s adherence to company Engineering, MRB, Manufacturing Engineering, and QA proceduresSupport assigned teams by representing Engineering/EPS in local meetings and participating in company planningTroubleshoot and resolve operational/performance issues with propellersReview part/assembly nonconformance rejections; develop repair design/action using appropriate analysisDevelop and write engineering disposition instructionsAnalyzes/Interprets engineering drawing, manufacturing operation sequence, tooling function, and process specifications and issues engineering change requests (ECR) to improve or eliminate manufacturing issues in sustaining production operationsOversee process to create manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM) to break engineering product structure into logical manufacturing methodology and sequence to enable MRP processes for order release, scheduling, and purchased component sourcing activitiesInterpret/provide guidance to QA/manufacturing about engineering documentsDevelop managerial and technical skills through training, professional organizations and published materialsGuide and determine manufacturing processes, tooling methodology, discrete manufacturing operations and associated time standards to be used to produce new parts/assemblies from detail component fabrication thru job-level installation; authors and maintains process plans for shop floor methods/work instructionsAbility to travel, domestically and internationally, on occasionAdditional duties as defined by department managementJOB SUMMARY:

Bachelor’s degree required in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or directly related engineering degree. Minimum 5 years engineering experienceQUALIFICATIONS:
