The Supervisor of Materials Managment duties include, but are not limited to:
provide professional support in the areas of supply processing, distribution, purchasing, receiving and inventory managementthe primary objective is to manage and control the flow of supplies and equipment from acquisition to dispositionareas of emphasis include supply and capital budgets, inventory control, asset managementadherence to organizational contracts and group purchasing agreements for supplies and equipmentresponsible for department budget adherence and requisite review and analysis of departmental operations reportsresponsible for the attendance and participation in designated hospital committeesassures that department operations adhere to guidelines per the state, accreditation and all other agencieswill also have OR/Surgical Tech responsibilities QualificationsEducation, Experience and Training
Supervisory requirements:
three to five years experience as a Supervisor in health care materials management, preferredmanagement skills of planning, organizing, prioritizing and staffingcomputer skillsworking knowledge of logistics, business ethics, math and business management
OR Tech requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, required graduation from an ORT training program within 6 months of hire or on the job training with a minimum of 2 years experience in a surgical setting, preferredexperience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in various surgical specialties (i.e. General, Ortho, Urology and GI)current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
