Primary FunctionThe Supervisor Mortgage Insurance directs the day-to-day operations of the MI functions within the Loan Administration Department. This includes responsibility for the timely payments of monthly and annual premiums, ensuring loan level data is accurately maintained, and the cancellation of PMI occurs within the guidelines set by the investors. Performing all duties in accordance with the company guidelines, applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Direct Reports:Team Lead Mortgage InsuranceSr Mortgage Insurance SpecialistMortgage Insurance Specialist IIMortgage Insurance SpecialistPrincipal Duties:Oversees execution of payments for PMI, FHA, and USDA premiumsSolves problems rapidly and cost-effectively with minimal disruption.Execute and maintain reports for external clients.Perform ad hoc queries as necessary with management approval.Develop and maintain policies and procedures for all team functions.Develop team goals and meet with associates monthly to discuss progress on goals, workflow performance, and ensure adherence to department expectations.Monitor staffing, hiring, coaching, and personnel management.Ensure productive and accurate execution of all team functions.Process requests received from management, clients, or other departments.Gather and present data for annual audits.Monitor work volumes and adjust work types or production to meet department needs.Performs related duties as assigned by manager.*These essential functions are fundamental to the role, and must be performed on-site, as they cannot physically be performed remotely. Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent mortgage experience.6+ years residential mortgage loan servicing experience.Minimum of 2 years’ experience training team members.Minimum 1-2 years’ experience with supervising a team preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesProficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)Detail oriented with excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Flexible to changing priorities, project scopes, and deadlines at any given time.Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills as well as ability to work well in a collaborative environment.Ability to participate and lead meetings with both internal and external parties.Ability to make sound decisions based upon department, company policies, procedures, knowledge, and experience.Advanced understanding of SQL data warehouse environments and OnBase imaging systemWhile this description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the position’s requirements, it in no way implies/states that these are the only job responsibilities.
