Supervisor Nursing -BSN RN - House Calls/Outpatient Palliative Care
Overview Pay range for this position is $39.37 - $56.73/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating, supervising daily operations of the Unit. Directs the delivery of care by department personnel to ensure patient outcomes are achieved, high quality care is delivered and the patient experience is enhanced. Fosters and maintains positive working relationships among staff, physicians and medical center personnel to ensure collaboration. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the age of the patients served. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current State license as a registered nurse Education: BSN or higher. Experience: Approximately two to three years progressively more responsible related work experience, including at least two years clinical experience as an RN. The ability to gain professional competence in nursing care techniques and practices. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: MSN Other skills/knowledge: The job incumbent is required to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit(s). This requires that the incumbent demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of the patient population served. Knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and administration in order to oversee planning and implementation of care and the ability to prepare necessary analyses, reports, policies, and budgets at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to provide effective leadership to assigned personnel, instruct; and comfort patients and their families, and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians, Medical Center personnel, and external agencies and organizations. Analytical skills necessary in order to organize, schedule and monitor Unit activities, implement effective nursing care procedures, and identify and resolve Unit and patient care problems.
