Responsibilities Job Summary The Supervisor of Integration & Interoperability will lead a team of interface developers to deliver system-to-system integrations and real-time interoperability with external EMRs and/or all 3rd party solution providers. Moreover, the Supervisor of Integration and Interoperability will work to ensure oversight, maintenance, and support for interfaces from disparate applications and sources throughout the organization to ensure database and application integrity across systems working with various parties to determine feasibility and analysis of solution design need to develop appropriate integrations to support business objectives. Responsible for the delivery of system-to-system integrations and real-time interoperability with external EMRs and/or all 3rd party solution providers. Lead the design, coding, testing and implementation of interfaces according to specifications using the required protocols such as HL7, TCPIP, XML, Web Services, FHIR API, etc. Demonstrates the ability to develop multiple interfaces across multiple simultaneous projects, while staying within defined project timelines, and balancing multiple priorities/tasks. Oversee effective management, maintenance, and monitoring of interface server environment from an O.S./Hardware perspective. Identify, report, assist and provide direction to remediate identified issues and/or configuration/settings with regards to storage of interface messaging. Ensure and enforces stability of data management and transfers through systems, for maintaining the integrity of the data residing on systems, facilitating, and performing validations, and error resolution and decision making to complete or support business processing requirements. Guides interface development team on issue resolution as subject matter expert Produce in-depth documentation of all operational integration development, policies, and procedures, while reviewing existing documentation created by the interface development team. Work with vendors to ensure needed coordination is in place between application owners and Integration development and support teams. Demonstrates the ability to proactively escalate concerns/issues with vendor resources or ICP project team accordingly. Leads interface project calls, provides real-time feedback and timely follow-up correspondence. Work with other teams to ensure smooth transitions of projects or training of the users. Leads development planning sessions, weekly team status meetings and create/update appropriate project management documentation as required. Plan the work allocation, resource availability for completion of projects and forecast the future needs of the company. Review the changes due to business needs or as part of the regular change control process. Be available after hours as part of the escalation process serving as subject matter expert for integration & interoperability issues. Oversee the staff and ensure adequate staffing levels, inclusive of hiring/onboarding, evaluating, managing performance, coaching and developing employees ensuring employee productivity, quality of work, and alignment of goals with our mission, vision, and values. Ensure compliance with all policies, financial stewardship by being accountable for the financial integrity around development and maintenance of department budget. Support and collaborate with other teams/management on any ad-hoc requests, data research, analyses or provides regular reports. Build collaborative relationships with IT teams, business and clinical partners. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related program) Required Experience 6+ years experience in interface development and data integration; preferably within healthcare industry Required 1 year supervising technical resources in management or supervisory role Required 3 years Experience with technologies such as Azure or AWS and, experience with Data Lake House or Enterprise Data Warehouse Experience with Databricks or Apache Spark. Required 6 years HL7, XML, X12, 837/839, API, FHIR, Web Service, ETL architecture (Talend), database design concepts, Big data, Intergration engine (Rhapsody) Required
