Supervisor of Support Specialist assists the Manager of Support Specialist by overseeing the day to day operations of the assigned department.  Works closely with associates assuring that services provided are aligned to support the corporate strategies. Position assists with planning, directing and evaluating workflow, hardware and software needs. Responsible for and oversees the application of policies and procedures to ensure the department meets all regulatory requirements.  Position assists with staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations.                                        

               

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinates activities and sets work flow priorities, tracks performance and works to keep team focused.Proactively coaches team to develop knowledge of products and services as well as general knowledge of bank functions in an effort to efficiently address customer questions and problems to promote effective delivery of service to internal and external customers.Monitors production goals and error rates for assigned team.Makes decisions/exceptions to policy on basic problems as part of good customer service/customer retention.Coordinates and/or assists in the development, implementation and operation of special products and services. Work closely with vendors and oversees system updates and changes due to software and product enhancements.Provides administrative assistance to management through generation of reports; provides research and development information with regards to new products and anticipated system changes.Manages department performance through performance reviews, departmental reporting, implementation of policies and procedures, research, and handling of customer complaints and requests.Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

HS diploma/GED or equivalent in education and/or experience4-6 years’ experience in applicable area preferred1-2 years’ prior supervisory experience preferred

Computer Skills 

MS Office programs

Other Qualifications (including physical requirements)

Advanced knowledge of applicable banking operations and procedures required.
