Reporting to the Director of Online Learning, the position assists with supporting the strategic growth and management of the College of General Studies' online learning and academic programs’ functions, within the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. This includes assisting with the planning, coordination, and assessment of all online learning initiatives and projects, as well as collaborating closely with administrators, academic departments, and faculty to design, expand, and deliver high quality undergraduate online courses and programs. This position oversees the operations of the CGS instructional design team and instructional technology support services. The position may assist and/or represent, when needed, the Director of Online Learning in other administrative and academic matters related to CGS in the Dietrich School.
Essential to this role is expertise in online pedagogy, instructional design frameworks, educational technology tools, and quality assessment in higher education, with a commitment to enhancing the online teaching and learning experience at CGS.
Provides support in developing and converting courses and programs to innovative online and other technology-assisted educational venues. Supervises team and implements online courses and training curricula. Consults with subject matter experts to identify and obtain training objectives and content. Drafts storyboards, writes content, and researches emerging instructional technologies and resources.

The employee must be able to use a computer and keyboard, and be able to use video communication technology. Work is frequently conducted by email, telephone, or using video communication technology. The ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and positive manner to the diverse needs of faculty regarding online course and program development is essential.
